Deep South Food Alliance

The Deep South Food Alliance (DSFA) is a network of organizations, producers, and aggregator s in sou t h east , cen t r al, and west Alabama and eastern Mississippi. Organized in 20 12, DSFA is a coalition of individuals an d organization s across th e Black Belt who sh are a guiding objective: to advance historically disadvantaged rural com m un ities by supporting agriculture economies, particularly low- resource smallholder farmers of color. Led by project direct or Andrew William s, CEO of t h e Un it ed Christian Com m u n it y Association (TUCCA), DSFA harnesses the specialties, infrastructure, and local networks of m ember organizations to provide train in g, technical assistance, and market connections to m ore than 100 smallholder far m er s in t h e region it serves.
